Job description

The Mechanical Engineer - Energy & Power role at Jacobs focuses on addressing the complexities of decarbonization within the energy industry. Requirements

  • Professional Engineering license
  • Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • At least 4 years of experience in energy engineering
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for energy and power projects, including ASME, NFPA, and ASHRAE
  • Demonstrated ability performing industry-standard energy calculations and analyzing construction drawings and specifications
  • Effective communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience leading mechanical discipline design teams and coordinating with multi-discipline teams on larger projects

Responsibilities

  • Provide feasibility studies and design oversight for energy projects
  • Engage with clients to evaluate their energy needs and develop concept-level plans
  • Take projects through detailed design to ensure full execution of solutions
  • Collaborate with operations teams to expand the energy transition portfolio
