Job description
The Entry Level Civil Engineer position at Jacobs is designed for a Civil Engineering Graduate to support the federal team in a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on traditional site civil layout, grading, and utility design while addressing water, resiliency, and disaster recovery challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers and technicians on projects for various Federal Civilian and Department of Defense agencies. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office suite
- At least one relevant internship with a government agency, municipality, corporate engineering, or consulting firm
- United States Citizenship
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate
Responsibilities
- Develop site plans, utility plans, and grading plans to meet Federal design standards.
- Perform watershed analyses and design stormwater management systems.
- Implement designs that comply with various regulatory code requirements and client standards.
- Prepare engineering assessments, calculations, and basis of design reports.
- Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians.
