Job description

The Senior Water Resources Engineer and Group Lead role at Jacobs involves leading teams in the planning, design, and construction of water-related projects such as river restoration and stormwater management. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in hydrology and hydraulic analysis, restoration and drainage design, and watershed modeling
  • Ability to work independently and manage design tasks
  • PE license
  • Experience with CAD design software, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-ResSim, and SRH-2D

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in the delivery of designs and related studies for water resources projects.
  • Assist with business development, including strategy development and contract negotiations.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships by communicating on technical design topics.
  • Mentor and coach Water Resources Group staff, including setting career goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Identify potential project pursuits and prepare qualifications and proposals.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within the office and the Water Team.
