Job description

The Structural Engineer will be a key member of the design team, focusing on structural analysis and design for advanced technology industrial projects. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other engineers and disciplines. The engineer will be responsible for developing design concepts and ensuring structural requirements are accurately communicated. Candidates should have a solid foundation in structural engineering principles and be prepared to take on significant responsibilities in project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Structural Engineer License (SE) or Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • At least 15 years of experience in Structural engineering
  • Proficient with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Proficient with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design without supervision
  • Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control in all work
  • Manage workload effectively and take full ownership of assigned work
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
  • Lead a team in the development of calculations, specifications, and construction drawings
