Job description

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's or PhD with a geotechnical or geological emphasis
  • Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics and geotechnical design principles
  • Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in field assignments including soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, and construction inspections
  • Analyze field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions
  • Design shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and ground improvement solutions
  • Perform seismic hazard analyses, including site-response studies and liquefaction evaluations
  • Prepare calculation packages and technical documentation such as memos, reports, and specifications
  • Use advanced software tools for engineering analysis and review construction submittals for compliance
