The Resident Engineer/Construction Manager role at Jacobs involves overseeing the construction supervision of electrical infrastructure and facility projects across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent related experience in lieu of a degree
• 12+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization
• Proven experience within large construction programs
• Strong working knowledge of pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationships
• Valid Driver’s license and good driving history
• Ability to travel for occasional project site visits

• Interface extensively with client stakeholders, contractors, and the Jacobs cross-functional team
• Provide oversight of the pre-construction and construction processes to ensure project compliance with contract and permitting requirements
• Lead a team in monitoring the progress of construction projects and advising on steps to achieve project goals
• Conduct field/site inspections and ensure quality assurance throughout the project
• Manage and direct a team of support staff and site inspectors for project supervision
• Report on progress, safety, financial projections, quality control, and changes in contract work
• Review change orders for validity and cost reasonableness
• Develop trusted relationships with the project team, contractor, and client staff
