Job description

The Airfield Electrical Engineer will be part of the Aviation team at Jacobs, focusing on planning, designing, and reviewing large-scale aviation projects such as taxiways and runways. The engineer will collaborate with experienced professionals and will be empowered to deliver impactful solutions. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership qualities to support various aviation-related infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation electrical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated skill and working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively in person and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, design, and construction of airfield lighting and navigational aid projects
  • Perform electrical related design tasks in support of project and design managers
  • Prepare bidding documents including lighting layout and power distribution plans
  • Assist or oversee construction-related tasks including on-site observation
  • Review RFIs and material submittals while preparing RFQs and change orders
