Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 8 years of engineering experience building electrical systems
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
  • Experience with power system software, such as ETAP
  • Experience with generator sizing and paralleling
  • Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, and UPS
  • Team leadership and client interaction experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members
  • Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, and other design documents
  • Assist directly with complex portions of the design process and interact with clients, owners, and contractors
  • Establish design requirements and produce construction documents in collaboration with client owners
