Job description

As a Ports & Maritime Dive Supervisor at Jacobs, you will be part of the engineer dive group, working on asset evaluation projects globally. Your role involves conducting above and underwater structural assessments, utilizing advanced technologies such as UAS, ROVs, SONAR, and LIDAR systems. You will oversee diving operations and ensure safety during field operations while collaborating with experienced engineers. This position requires travel between 10 and 25 percent of the year, supporting teams across six continents.

Requirements

  • Substantial years of experience as a commercial diver
  • ADCI Dive Supervisor certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and small projects independently
  • Working knowledge of commercial diving equipment and safe operation of boats
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid diving physical or ability to pass an ADCI-compliant diving physical

Responsibilities

  • Oversee diving operations and safety for all field operations
  • Operate and maintain commercial diving equipment, small engines, boats, and fleet vehicles
  • Conduct underwater inspections of waterfront structures
  • Perform a variety of structural assessments above and underwater
  • Support teams local to New York City and across six continents
