Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural engineering emphasis
  • 1-2 years of previous project work experience or internships
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge of US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Familiarity with Revit and Navisworks
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM Structural System, ETABS, or SAP2000
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
  • Perform evaluations of structures with varying degrees of complexity
  • Prepare plans, designs, calculations, and cost estimates under supervision
  • Contribute to the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Manage workload and meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
  • Take initiative to determine project needs and seek guidance when necessary
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to communicate structural requirements effectively
