Job description
The Lead Piping Engineer position at Jacobs focuses on providing technical leadership and engineering services for process facility systems during the design and construction phases. The role involves evaluating local and international codes, preparing key engineering documents, and ensuring alignment with project specifications. The engineer will also represent the piping discipline in client meetings and provide design direction throughout the project lifecycle. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule and requires some domestic and international travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10 years of work experience in Piping Engineering or a related occupation
- Expertise in Piping Engineering Design and QA for the Semiconductor Industry
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Revit
- Knowledge of engineering standards including ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and engineering services during the design and construction phases.
- Prepare and review key engineering documents to ensure project alignment.
- Attend client meetings and represent the piping discipline.
- Perform field walks and prepare reports based on observations.
- Provide design direction and implementation during the project lifecycle.
