The Senior Risk Analyst will join the newly created Data Risk Office, focusing on mitigating and preventing risks within the Data Department. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing risk action plans. The analyst will collaborate with various teams, including Legal and Compliance, to monitor and report on risks and controls. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying gaps and implementing necessary controls for operational resilience.

• 5+ years of experience in risk management with a focus on data, technology or finance
• Familiarity with DORA, GDPR, UK CTP and similar regulations
• Prior experience in either a 1st or 2nd line of defense capacity
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related discipline
• Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trading lifecycle
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of risk management frameworks and Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to simplify difficult concepts and challenges
• Proven intellectual curiosity through professional training or advanced degree
• A desire to build a large trusted network across Data, Risk and other Bloomberg departments

• Establish a risk management framework to identify and mitigate operational risks associated with Data technology and processes
• Design and implement assurance programs to monitor policy compliance across the department
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation measures
• Follow up on gaps, incidents, and remediation plans, managing risk action plans to closure
• Monitor and report risks and controls to applicable forums
• Collaborate with control management and internal audit teams to demonstrate effective implementation of internal controls
• Continuously assess and test the effectiveness of business-spanning Data controls
• Support the design and build of an enhanced RCSA process including data collection and reporting
• Use Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools for risk management and reporting
• Monitor and analyze risk data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Facilitate First Line of Defense (FLOD) risk execution and partner on RCSA training efforts
• Provide subject matter expertise on relevant risk trends
