The Senior Software Engineer position is part of the Analytics Event Streaming team within Bloomberg's Connectivity & Integration organization. This team focuses on ingesting and processing billions of client-focused events daily, utilizing open source and big data technologies. The role involves building scalable data streaming platforms and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to create impactful solutions. Candidates will also mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

• 4+ years of experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C/C++, Python, Java, or equivalent experience in Go and Scala.
• Familiarity with big data storage and processing technologies like BCS, Hadoop, Solr, Spark, Flink, and Kafka.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Develop high standard software and data streaming pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Show strong ownership of tasks and collaborate with Engineering and Business stakeholders to drive projects to success.
