The Platform Engineer role at Microsoft AI focuses on building Copilot memory and personalization systems that enhance user interactions through AI. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience in building and deploying machine learning or large language model applications at scale.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale embedding, retrieval, and ranking systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale Copilot memory and personalization systems leveraging search, embeddings, retrieval, ranking, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Apply subject-matter expertise in cross-product features and collaborate with stakeholders to drive project and release plans.
- Hold accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual, mentoring engineers and monitoring systems for degradation or interruptions.
- Proactively seek out new knowledge and adapt to trends that improve product performance and reliability.
- Navigate ambiguity and clear roadblocks to deliver solutions quickly and iteratively.
