Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a closely related field
  • Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Some positions may require knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software, preferably AutoCAD, OpenBuildings, Rhino, or MicroStation
  • Some positions may require knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite software, including InDesign, Illustrator, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with design or transportation-related coursework
  • Preferred qualifications include being enrolled in a college/university along the Brooklyn-Queens Corridor and being a resident of the Brooklyn-Queens corridor

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tasks specific to the technical group and support the Project Management team
  • Gain familiarity with client expectations, project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Engage in diverse projects related to rail and transit, bridges and tunnels, highways and roads, and architecture and planning
  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to deliver innovative solutions
  • Participate in mentorship opportunities to enhance professional development
