Job description
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will lead geotechnical tasks and project delivery for various medium- to large-scale civil infrastructure projects, primarily in the water and transportation sectors. This role requires collaboration within a large interdisciplinary design team and interaction with clients to support business development efforts. The engineer will also mentor less experienced staff and assist in advancing the technical capabilities of the geotechnical group. The position can be based in either Portland or Corvallis, Oregon.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- M.S/Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering
- 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience with a focus on design-build transportation projects
- PE license
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of geotechnical tasks on various projects.
- Mentor less experienced staff in geotechnical engineering.
- Develop and implement geotechnical data collection programs.
- Prepare technical reports and contract documents.
- Provide support during project construction.
- Interact with clients and assist in business development efforts.
