Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
- Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
- Exercise sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Possess knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design, including wind and seismic provisions.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
- Take responsibility for managing workload and commitments.
- Clearly define your own scope and develop the ability to forecast effort needed to complete that scope.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
