The Member of Technical Staff for Compute Orchestration & Scheduling at Microsoft AI will contribute to the development of AI models for the Copilot assistant. This role involves designing and building a compute orchestration and scheduling layer using Kubernetes and Ray, focusing on workload placement, scaling, and reliability. The position is part of the Superintelligence Team, which aims to create responsible AI that amplifies human potential. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Responsibilities
- Develop and tune the pretraining scalable software for Nvidia GB200 72NVL CX8 and AMD MIxxx architectures.
- Benchmark GB200 and AMD MIxxx GPU clusters.
- Gather data and insights to develop the pretraining compute roadmap.
- Actively contribute to the development of AI models that power innovative products.
- Find a path to get things done despite roadblocks to deliver work to users quickly and iteratively.
