Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania
- Advanced proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
- Substantial progressive experience in transportation engineering with a strong focus on highway/roadway design
- Demonstrated experience leading complex highway design projects for PennDOT and/or PTC
Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Highway Engineer and Engineer of Record on significant transportation projects from concept through final design and construction support.
- Provide technical leadership for roadway geometry, interchange design, traffic control/staging, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment control.
- Oversee and review design deliverables to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate alongside project managers on staffing projections, schedules, budgets, and risk management.
- Interface directly with subconsultants, clients, reviewing agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide a team of junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and quality-focused delivery.
- Support proposal development, scope development, and technical interviews as a senior contributor to business growth.
