Job description

The Member of Technical Staff role at Core AI focuses on shaping and shipping high-performance AI services that promote responsible AI usage. This position requires a builder who is passionate about AI and has experience with generative AI systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of AI solutions that scale responsibly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience working with generative AI systems, including prompt engineering, evaluation, or fine-tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI and security concepts or a strong interest in learning them deeply.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, experimental environments such as startups or incubation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype, build, and iterate on new Responsible AI tools and capabilities for developers.
  • Apply subject-matter expertise in cross-product features and collaborate with stakeholders to drive project plans and deliverables.
  • Proactively seek out new knowledge and adapt to trends that improve product performance and reliability.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced product environment with rapid prototyping and iterative learning.
