This role is a senior technical leadership position within Microsoft's CoreAI team, focusing on the Experimentation Platform. The team is responsible for developing high-scale online experimentation capabilities that enhance AI-driven applications. The successful candidate will lead architecture and development efforts, driving technical vision and collaboration across teams. This position offers the opportunity to shape distributed systems architecture and improve engineering practices at Microsoft.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience.
• Extensive experience architecting and operating large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms.
• Proven experience mentoring senior engineers and driving technical direction.

• Champion and improve AI tools and practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Lead by example to produce extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant code.
• Own and lead the architecture of complex product solutions, ensuring system architecture meets performance and scalability requirements.
• Lead cross-team collaboration to identify dependencies and ensure proper end-to-end testing.
• Drive engineering excellence across products, targeting zero-touch deployment and production reliability.
