Job description

The Senior Structural Engineer will join the Cities & Places team in Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas, focusing on structural analysis and design for various projects. This role involves collaboration with architects and engineers to deliver innovative solutions for facilities such as healthcare, education, and data centers. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical quality and managing project scope, schedule, and budget. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering related to building design
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects.
  • Manage workload and take full ownership of assigned work.
  • Develop and manage schedule, budget, and staffing forecasts for structural scope.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Participate in project meetings and help resolve concerns across disciplines.
  • Conduct calculation checking of other engineers' work.
