Job description

The Senior Technical Program Manager role at Microsoft involves leading the Core AI Infrastructure team, which powers Microsoft’s AI Foundry Services. The team focuses on managing the GPU fleet to enhance the efficiency and reliability of AI services on a global scale. The candidate will drive platform features from design to market fit, ensuring that AI innovations are effectively integrated into production. This position requires a blend of technical depth, customer empathy, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering impactful solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping complex products for developers or ML professionals.
  • Strong understanding of GPUs, virtual machines, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for platform capabilities that increase overall fleet efficiency.
  • Manage dependencies and lead experimentation to validate hypotheses and drive optimizations.
  • Build narratives and dashboards that support decision-making and keep stakeholders aligned on progress.
  • Translate customer needs and platform constraints into clear requirements and iterative delivery plans.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities to increase capacity efficiency.
