Job description

The Solutions Engineer at StreetLight Data, Inc. will work closely with the Sales team to introduce and implement innovative technology solutions for prospective customers. This role primarily supports the Western US territory while collaborating with other Solutions Engineers. The focus is on defining and implementing technical solutions based on the StreetLight InSight platform to meet customer needs, as well as developing presentations and demos tailored to specific audiences. The position also involves cultivating relationships with technical staff at government agencies and engineering firms.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Two years of work experience in transportation planning or transportation engineering.
  • Expertise in SQL, statistics, and data visualization skills for querying and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of software tools such as JIRA/Confluence, ArcGIS, Tableau/Power BI, Excel, and Alteryx.
  • Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sales team to introduce StreetLight Data’s technology to prospective customers.
  • Define and implement technical solutions based on the StreetLight InSight platform.
  • Develop and deliver tailored presentations and demos of the software.
  • Cultivate relationships with technical members of staff at end-user government agencies and engineering firms.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to guide the development of sales materials and prepare presentations for industry events.
