Job description

The Structural Engineer (Associate Level) position at Jacobs in Philadelphia focuses on contributing to the design of structural systems for various building types. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant structural design experience, preferably in buildings
  • Working knowledge of structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, RISA, or RAM
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards including IBC and ASCE
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the structural design and analysis of building systems under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications for a variety of projects
  • Support coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Contribute to meeting project scope, schedule, and quality objectives
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with construction administration tasks as needed
