Job description

This role is part of Microsoft's CoreAI team, focusing on the Experimentation Platform (ExP) that enhances AI-driven applications. The position involves pushing the boundaries of online experimentation methodologies and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. You will be responsible for translating research into production-quality features and providing technical guidance on AI tools and methodologies. The role emphasizes mentorship and collaboration to drive Microsoft's experimentation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience, OR a Master's Degree in a related field AND 4+ years related experience, OR a Doctorate in a related field AND 3+ years related experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience is preferred.
  • Experience with agent-based architectures, frameworks, and technologies such as MCP, A2A protocol, or Azure AI Foundry.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and deploying products or systems at multiple points in the product cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with researchers to translate applied research into differentiated, production-quality features.
  • Provide technical guidance and industry insight to cross-functional teams on AI tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure teams develop advanced subject matter expertise across specialized tools and methods.
  • Interface with experimentation partners to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to less experienced team members.
