The Principal Product Manager/Architect will define and guide the technical architecture of Microsoft Foundry, focusing on creating a reliable, scalable, and efficient AI inferencing platform. This role involves collaboration with engineering and product management to enhance reliability and customer engagement. The position requires deep involvement in execution while influencing architectural investments and ensuring alignment across teams. The successful candidate will engage with strategic customers to address complex technical challenges and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Proven technical leadership with experience in designing and operating planet-scale distributed systems.
- Strong track record in owning end-to-end architecture for mission-critical services.
- Deep understanding of GPU-backed inference systems and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Own the product direction for Microsoft Foundry inference to ensure it is the most reliable enterprise inferencing service.
- Drive architectural alignment to ensure consistent availability and predictable recovery behavior.
- Set the product direction for GPU fleet efficiency and capacity management.
- Act as a senior technical advisor for Foundry's strategic customers, addressing complex architectural challenges.
- Serve as a unifying architectural voice across product management, engineering, and partner teams.
