The Senior Software Engineer role in the Secure Production Access (SPA) team at Microsoft focuses on modernizing secure access experiences and ensuring the reliability of services used by engineers. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software/network engineering roles, with a focus on cloud networking and network security.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking components.

• Design, implement, and manage Azure network infrastructure.
• Configure and administer network firewalls and proxy servers, VPN, enforce security policies, and monitor network traffic.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to streamline network configurations, deployments, and monitoring.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex network and infrastructure incidents.
• Continuously analyze network performance and security postures.
