Job description

The Bing multimedia Relevance Team is seeking a talented machine learning scientist/engineer to enhance the multimedia search experience on the web. This role involves developing advanced search technology to deliver the best images and videos for user queries globally. Candidates will work with a diverse team of data scientists and engineers, focusing on machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience.
  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience.
  • Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze problems using large scale crawled data and user engagement data.
  • Define problems and metrics to address relevance, authority, attractiveness, diversity, and freshness.
  • Design and train machine learning systems and model architectures.
  • Collect data for training machine learning models.
  • Define the engineering life cycle and drive projects forward through iterative ranker releases.
  • Understand the search stack and platform to deploy models to production.
  • Collaborate with other data and applied scientists, distributed system engineers, and program managers.
  • Proactively seek mentorship from others.
