The team aims to enhance security and productivity for millions of customers by creating re-bootless updates and leveraging AI for engineering solutions. Candidates will work on a diverse and technical team, contributing to modern engineering practices and innovative technologies. The position requires strong analytical and coding skills to design and develop scalable software solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Windows operating system internals.
  • Proficiency in building cloud-native applications on Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs or similar LLM-based platforms.
  • Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
  • Identify areas to integrate instrumentation for gathering telemetry data on system behavior.
  • Create a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring quality of solutions.
  • Maintain close technical relationships with partner teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Drive efforts for augmenting test cases and ensure good test coverage in the solution area.

Benefits

  • Employees at Microsoft are often offered comprehensive, “world-class” benefits—including health and mental-wellness programs, competitive pay with bonuses and stock awards, and retirement/savings options. Time-off and flexibility are common, with generous vacation and holidays, parental and caregiver leave, and flexible work schedules, alongside learning support, employee resource groups, product discounts, and matching-gifts/volunteering programs. Specific benefits can vary by region.
