Job description

The Software Engineer role focuses on building tools and systems to enhance M365 sovereign cloud operations. The position is part of the Security & Compliance team, which safeguards sovereign cloud customers from threats and ensures compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about distributed systems and motivated to solve technological challenges. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement code for products, services, or features with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a designated responsible individual (DRI) to monitor system/product features for degradation or downtime.
  • Maintain operations of live site services while following security best practices.
  • Contribute to identifying dependencies and incorporate them into design documents.
  • Develop automation within production and deployment of complex product features.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand customer requirements for features.
  • Stay current in skills and conduct learning sessions on relevant engineering design principles.
