The role is part of the Microsoft Sovereign Cloud organization within the Windows Cloud Experiences Sovereign team, focusing on delivering secure Windows 365 Cloud PC and Azure Virtual Desktop technologies. The team aims to enhance remote computing experiences for customers in regulated environments by ensuring high performance and reliability. The position involves collaboration with engineers to maintain and improve cloud infrastructure while participating in site reliability engineering (SRE) tasks. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

• Respond to incidents during on-call rotations by troubleshooting issues and deploying fixes.
• Use existing tools to troubleshoot problems affecting the availability and performance of components.
• Develop an understanding of managing changes in production using existing tools and automation.
• Participate in code/design reviews and regular meetings with engineering teams.
• Support ongoing engagements with product engineering teams throughout product development and operations cycles.
