Job description
The Senior Engineer II position at Microsoft within the Customer Experiences (CXP) team focuses on building software systems and applications for enhancements and new products. This role involves developing software, tools, and code to support various technology platforms and applications. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex problems in a dynamic environment while collaborating with talented engineers and stakeholders. It is based at the Redmond campus with a hybrid work model of three days in the office and two days remote.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in relevant programming languages is preferred.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven coding experience is also acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features.
- Support the identification of dependencies and develop design documents for product features.
- Learn to create and implement code for products, services, or features with guidance.
- Assist in breaking down work items into tasks and provide estimations.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor system/product features for degradation and recommend actions to restore services.
- Review current developments and seek new knowledge to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance.
