Job description

Microsoft's CELA Compliance & Ethics team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to oversee critical programs that integrate compliance, data engineering, and AI. This role involves managing the delivery of technical programs that support compliance investigations, fraud detection, and risk analytics. The successful candidate will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and legal professionals to translate complex legal requirements into effective technology solutions. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and adherence to compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to drive programs from ambiguity to delivery across engineering, data science, and business teams.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, Databricks) and modern BI/analytics tools (Power BI).
  • Experience with AI/ML operationalization — model development lifecycle, feature engineering, and model monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Own planning, execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional technical programs spanning compliance data platforms, AI/ML solutions, and investigation tooling.
  • Define program scope, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Drive architecture decisions and technical trade-offs in partnership with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams.
  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with DOJ, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Lead programs that build and operationalize AI/ML models for fraud detection, risk scoring, and proactive compliance monitoring.

Benefits

  • Employees at Microsoft are often offered comprehensive, “world-class” benefits—including health and mental-wellness programs, competitive pay with bonuses and stock awards, and retirement/savings options. Time-off and flexibility are common, with generous vacation and holidays, parental and caregiver leave, and flexible work schedules, alongside learning support, employee resource groups, product discounts, and matching-gifts/volunteering programs. Specific benefits can vary by region.
