Tesla is seeking an intern for their System Software team, focusing on developing audio software for infotainment products. The role involves working with hardware and software engineers to create efficient and maintainable code, integrating software components, and validating hardware designs.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field of study with a graduation date between 2026 - 2027
- Experience in software/firmware development
- Excellent C/Python coding skills
- Embedded Linux and/or Linux kernel experience is a huge plus
- Experience with audio systems (ALSA, audio framework, audioflinger, audio drivers)
- Experience with board/chip bring-up
Responsibilities
- Develop drivers, tests, middleware and interfaces to user-space applications for the audio subsystem
- Drive architecture and execution for audio software systems and hardware with the hardware and DSP engineers
- Use existing available hardware in innovative ways to solve problems
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Write well structured, testable, efficient, and maintainable code
- Build and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
- Board bring-up and hardware design validation
