Job description
Netflix is seeking a senior machine learning scientist to develop and deploy scalable ML solutions that inform content strategy and performance. The role involves collaborating with content strategy and analytics teams to enhance decision-making through innovative predictive models.
Requirements
- Ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and translate them into practical technical solutions using Machine Learning.
- Exceptional communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to cross-functional partners.
- Deep familiarity with the ML lifecycle and strong technical judgment for deploying models in production.
- Passion for scaling ML solutions collaboratively and building modularly for resilience.
- Strong experience in Python and ML/DL frameworks like scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MetaFlow, or JAX.
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field focused on machine learning.
- Relevant experience in one or more machine learning roles.
- Appreciation of the creative and entertainment industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Innovate on predictive models to inform content strategy.
- Act as a thought partner with content strategy teams to evolve content valuation and scheduling.
- Collaborate with analytics teams leveraging models in the US and globally.
- Own the end-to-end ML model development lifecycle from ideation to continuous improvement.
- Influence data and ML infrastructure development through partnerships with data engineers and ML Ops teams.
