Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to drive projects in the solar manufacturing ecosystem from concept through commissioning. The role involves managing project risks, maintaining schedules, and facilitating communication across cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

• Degree or equivalent experience in Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 2-8 years’ experience in engineering project management within process industries
• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects from concept to commissioning
• Working knowledge of stage-gate project delivery processes
• Ability to effectively execute many projects and tasks in parallel
• Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules
• Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organization skills
• Ability to work cross functionally with engineering, construction, operations, and supply chain
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Drive projects from concept through commissioning and handover to operations
• Define and drive schedule for basic engineering and ensure proper reviews are taking place
• Identify project risks and dependencies, manage and reduce them accordingly
• Build and maintain strong relationships across cross-functional teams
• Facilitate and support design review sessions with key stakeholders
• Serve as the primary point of contact with raw material supply chain
• Lead the preparation of CAPEX funding requests with supporting business cases
