Job description

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to join their Power Delivery & Renewable team. This senior technical position involves direct interaction with the Substation Electrical Team, focusing on project management, engineering, and business development. The role emphasizes ensuring project execution aligns with applicable codes and standards while coordinating with various engineering disciplines. The incumbent will also mentor junior team members and engage in client meetings to support business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in substation engineering and design
  • PE License
  • Proficiency in critical Engineering Software such as SKM, ASPEN, ETAP, and others
  • Experience adhering to National Electrical Code and IEEE standards

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the Substation Electrical team in collaboration with leadership.
  • Support and deliver utility and developer projects from conceptual design to construction support.
  • Coordinate with various engineering teams to develop complete design packages.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on engineering studies and designs.
  • Act as Project Manager and Technical Lead to support client development and business growth.
