Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Process Mechanical Engineer / Design Manager for its Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization team. This role requires over 10 years of consulting engineering experience to support industrial water and wastewater design projects. The successful candidate will apply their expertise in engineering and client services to contribute to the growth of the business. This position offers opportunities for project leadership and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of industrial wastewater experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration in one or more states.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Preferred Master's degree or PhD in environmental or chemical engineering.
  • 14+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to sell projects to industrial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects.
  • Apply processes and technologies for various treatment methods.
  • Delegate engineering or scientific calculations and drawings to junior staff.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement treatment solutions.
  • Participate in business development and prepare proposals for clients.
  • Support or lead implementation of projects from study phase through operation.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to project team members.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings and project site visits.
