Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join their Power Delivery team in the USA. This technical position involves coordinating and developing the Power System Planning & Study team, focusing on HVAC and HVDC planning studies, interconnection studies, and systems analysis. The role emphasizes collaboration with various engineering teams and delivering comprehensive power system studies for clients. The incumbent will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life through innovative engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
- Proficiency in PSS®E, PSCAD, and PSS/E software packages.
- Familiarity with key North American Market Operators' policies and regulations.
- Preferred PE License.
Responsibilities
- Support, develop, and deliver complex power system study and planning projects.
- Perform and review power systems analysis activities including load-flow and short-circuit analysis.
- Conduct planning/system performance studies for compliance with standards and good engineering practices.
- Deliver accurate planning studies, system designs, and client reports that meet industry standards.
- Coordinate with other Arcadis Business Units for cross-selling and staffing opportunities.
