Job description

Uber Eats is seeking a product-focused full stack engineer to enhance user experiences within the app. The Early User Growth organization aims to drive sustainable growth by improving how new users discover and engage with the platform. This role involves collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to identify growth opportunities and translate them into technical designs. The engineer will participate in the full development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of well-designed solutions that positively impact user engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of full-time Software Engineering work experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience building features at scale for consumer applications.
  • Familiarity with running A/B tests.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly.
  • Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience designing APIs and collaborating with client engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with various teams to own features from idea through launch.
  • Design and build scalable, reliable systems across web services and distributed systems.
  • Debug and resolve complex issues across multiple systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Build instrumentation in experiments and analyze insights for data-driven decisions.
