Job description
The Application Developer for the ServiceNow Platform is tasked with designing, developing, and supporting scalable ServiceNow solutions that address complex business needs. This role requires collaboration with product owners and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions across ITSM, CMDB, and core platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will have over six years of hands-on experience and will leverage Now Assist and generative AI to enhance workflows and improve efficiency. The position also emphasizes disciplined release management and secure integrations within Uber's technical ecosystem.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Engineer working on enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, AJAX, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Now Assist technologies and generative AI workflows.
- Deep understanding of ITSM modules and solid experience with CMDB configuration.
- Proven experience implementing CI/CD practices for ServiceNow.
- Experience supporting and governing citizen development on the ServiceNow platform.
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer are required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate business and technical requirements against ServiceNow platform capabilities and design scalable solutions.
- Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines for the ServiceNow platform.
- Enable and govern citizen development on the ServiceNow platform by establishing guardrails and standards.
- Manage CMDB health and data integrity by implementing Discovery Patterns and IRE rules.
- Integrate and configure Now Assist features to enhance workflows and user experience.
- Build and maintain seamless integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to end users.
- Suggest and implement best practices for ServiceNow to increase efficiency.
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations, workflows, and processes.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
