The Rider Pricing & Incentives team at Uber is focused on optimizing pricing strategies and promotional systems through advanced machine learning techniques. This role involves leading a team of software engineers and machine learning engineers to enhance pricing algorithms and promotion targeting. You will work on developing scalable platforms that drive revenue and ridership growth while mentoring junior team members. Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 7+ years of full-time engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with machine learning and optimization algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of software engineers and machine learning engineers working on rider pricing and promotions.
- Improve the performance of models and algorithms powering pricing algorithms and promotion targeting.
- Own the problem end-to-end, including working with cross-functional teams to define the product and technical roadmap.
- Mentor junior team members by role modeling machine learning best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and drive Uber's ridership and revenue growth.
