The Software Engineer role in the Fulfillment logistics team at Uber focuses on innovating and enhancing the Fulfillment Platform that supports user orders across various Uber services. Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of full-time engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems or stream processing.
- Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Golang, Java, C#, or C++.
- Systematic problem-solving approach and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of the next phase of fulfillment and product lines for our customers.
- Collaborate with several cross-functional teams to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize existing Fulfillment platform capabilities for efficiency, speed, and accuracy.
- Devise and implement solutions that seamlessly scale with the growing needs of our user base.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge exchange and continuous improvement.
- Partner with engineering managers, product managers, and other engineering teams to define project requirements and execution plans.
- Ensure that system designs result in scalable, resilient solutions that minimize support costs and enhance the partner experience.
