Job description

Arcadis is seeking a geotechnical, civil, environmental or structural engineer or geologist to join their Resilience Environment team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Syracuse, NY; or Columbus, OH. The role focuses on improving pipeline integrity associated with natural forces, particularly related to rivers. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience and strong organizational skills to support various pipeline asset integrity and environmental assessment projects. The position involves collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines to address geotechnical and environmental aspects of pipeline geohazards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental or Structural Engineering or Geology or closely related field
  • 2-5 years of experience with strong organizational and team-building skills
  • EIT Certification is preferred
  • MS in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental or Structural Engineering or Geology or closely related field is preferred
  • Experience in Office 365, Finite-Element Modelling programs, and Bentley Systems OpenGround is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers and Task Managers with developing technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposals.
  • Perform field work with a focus on health and safety in various climates and geographies.
  • Assist the environmental and geotechnical engineering team in evaluations of existing and proposed conditions in modeling software.
  • Help reduce field data for engineering evaluations.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines on relevant projects.
