Job description
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Sediment Remediation Engineer to join their team of sediment practitioners. This role focuses on supporting nationwide waterfront projects, including sediment characterization, remediation design, and construction. The engineer will have a significant impact on improving quality of life through sustainable solutions. The position can be based anywhere in the United States.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field of practice
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the sediment field
- Professional Engineer license is preferred
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field of practice is preferred
- Expertise in environmental dredging, sediment capping, or hydrodynamic modeling is preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform as an engineer on sediment remediation and waterfront projects nationwide.
- Manage, lead, and prepare field sampling plans and remedial investigation reports.
- Evaluate the nature and extent of contamination and develop conceptual site models.
- Prepare calculations, cost estimates, reports, and design drawings.
- Lead preparation of client-ready documents and provide senior-level review for technical content.
- Effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers and scientists.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on sediment investigation or remediation projects.
- Support business development opportunities, including client meetings and proposal development.
