Job description

The Senior Application Engineer will be a technical leader within the Sales Automation Engineering team, focusing on the Salesforce and CPQ ecosystem. This role involves driving architectural vision and leading complex integrations to enhance Uber Eats' pricing and quoting systems. The engineer will influence the global revenue trajectory and improve the efficiency of the B2B sales force. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to translate pricing strategies into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce application development.
  • At least 2+ years of experience specifically designing and implementing Salesforce CPQ.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (Java, Go, or Python).
  • Expert knowledge of Apex, CPQ Quote Calculator Plugins, Lightning Web Components, and advanced SOQL/SOSL.
  • Proven track record of designing high-concurrency REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs and event-driven architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale Salesforce and CPQ features.
  • Define the long-term technical roadmap for CPQ automation.
  • Architect and build sophisticated middleware and API integrations.
  • Act as a technical mentor for Junior team members.
  • Partner closely with Sales Ops, Finance, and Product Managers.
  • Drive improvements in CPQ deployment strategies and automated testing.
  • Tackle complex architectural bottlenecks in CPQ.
