Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team in the Denver, Colorado area, focusing on sustainable design and engineering solutions for various sectors including mining and rail. The role involves a mix of engineering design, permitting, and field engineering, offering a flexible hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will work on hydraulic modeling, erosion control evaluations, and civil infrastructure projects. This position provides an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and interface directly with clients and contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Registered Professional Engineer, with willingness to obtain reciprocity in western states such as Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona
- 7+ years of related experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, and HEC-RAS
Responsibilities
- Develop and plan hydraulic modeling and calculations
- Conduct erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout
- Perform watershed evaluations and earthwork site design
- Prepare permit and construction-level drawings and details
- Write technical specifications and reports for civil and environmental permitting
- Interface directly with clients and contractors to manage project delivery
- Assist in field construction and inspections as needed
