Job description
Arcadis is seeking two Senior/Principal Electrical Engineers to join their teams in California and Arizona. These engineers will focus on designing electrical power systems for water and wastewater projects, collaborating with clients and project teams. The role involves managing tasks, overseeing junior staff, and ensuring successful project outcomes. Candidates should be performance-driven and possess a strong educational background in electrical engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, preferably with an emphasis on power.
- 15 years minimum of relevant work experience.
- Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in California for California position.
- Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in Arizona for Arizona position.
- Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook).
Responsibilities
- Support water and wastewater projects through all phases of planning, design, and construction.
- Develop project and task scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead and coordinate electrical design across multiple projects.
- Establish design criteria and perform engineering calculations.
- Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, and construction plans and specifications.
- Provide engineering support during construction by reviewing equipment submittals and shop drawings.
- Conduct field inspections and perform QA/QC reviews of completed work.
- Monitor safety compliance and identify deviations from design.
- Perform or oversee power system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software.
