Job description

Arcadis is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join their Resilience Water team, focusing on the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is part of a proactive effort to build a talent pipeline that addresses the increasing demands on water systems due to climate change and urbanization. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create sustainable solutions that enhance community resilience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred
  • EIT Certification or PE license is preferred
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and instrumentation and control engineers to develop electrical design criteria and technical documentation.
  • Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems in alignment with project requirements and safety standards.
  • Perform power system studies and analyses using tools such as ETAP or SKM Power Tools.
  • Support project managers with scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimating throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage assigned project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables to ensure quality and timely execution.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and other project-related travel as needed.
